Donate books

Donations may be dropped at the back door on the left side of the building (as you’re facing it) or brought inside to the Circulation desk. You can get a receipt at the Circulation Desk.

The Library is Fine Free. Should an item not be returned after two renewals, the item will be marked lost and you will be charged for the cost of replacing the item.

Log Into My Account

Go to our website and click on “Catalog”.
On the far right of the page is “My Account” Your user id is your library card number found on the back of your card. Pin is last name in Upper. case You may change your pin to anything you want.

Pay a fine*

You can pay a fine at the circulation desk in cash or credit card.

Renew an item

You may renew an item either by phone (609-581-4060, ext. 4001) or online after accessing your account through our catalog or in person at the circulation desk.

Replace a lost card

You may replace a lost card by coming to the circulation desk, showing ID and paying a $1.00 replacement fee.

Reserve an item

You may reserve an item by calling 609-581-4060, ext. 4018 or online after accessing your account through our catalog.

Return items

You may either return your items 24/7 in either one of the 2 book boxes in front of the Library or drop them off at the Circulation Desk during normal library hours.

Suggest a purchase

You may suggest a purchase in person at the Reference Desk, by calling 609-581-4060, ext. 4018, online through your account or by emailing adultreference@hamiltonnjpl.org

Update an expired card

Bring a current ID to the Circulation Desk and your card can be updated. Cards expire after 3 years, whether they are used in that time period or not.

Use a computer

You may sign into any computer that says “available” with your valid library card number, which appears on the back of your card. Nonresidents may obtain a free guest pass for computer use at the reference desk.

Use WIFI

The entire library is WIFI accessible. Connect to HTPL Public-Wifi. You do not need a password.

Use Wireless Printing

Email the document or picture you would like printed to librarywirelessprinting@gmail.com. Pick up your print job at the Circulation Desk. The print queue will be cleared of the week’s print jobs every Friday afternoon.
