E-books and audiobooks for all ages.  Works with ipad, Kindle, and Nook by downloading either the Overdrive or Libby app.   All you need is an Hamilton Township Public Library card, an email address, a device that meets system requirements, a free app and Internet access.

Libby will soon require PIN/password authentication when you log in. This is your Hamilton Township Public Library card PIN/password. Unless you changed it, it is your last name in ALL CAPS.

LIBBY, BY OVERDRIVE – USE THIS APP WITH IPAD, KINDLE OR ANDROID TABLETS.

If you already, use Overdrive, you do not need to switch to Libby, but it is an easier user experience.

  1. Download the app to your device.
  2. When you open Libby for the first time it will help you find your library.
  3.  Enter your library card number.
  4. Borrow and place holds on books.
  5. Libby will ask you where you would like to read your selection.  This is where you can select your Kindle.  Otherwise you can read in the app.
  6. If you are on wi-fi, your selection will automatically download for when you are offline.  Otherwise, you can stream your selection.
  7. Books are automatically removed from your device on the due date.

Download the Palace app for Android or Apple iOS today!

  1. Download the app to your device.
  2. Open the Palace app and tap “Find Your Library.”
  3. Search for a specific book or browse book categories.
  4. Tap “borrow” or “reserve.”
  5. For your first login you will need to make a virtual library card.
  6. Select Create Card.
    • Fill in your information.
    • Select “Yes” for one time geolocation. You may then turn location off in your settings.
    • Your barcode and a verification link will be emailed to you.
    • Click on the verification link to activate your card.
  7. Login to the app.
  8. Read or listen.

To access the Palace Project directly from the Hamilton Township Free Public Library web catalog:

  1. Click on https://catalog.thepalaceproject.org/NJ0166
  2. Click on “Sign In”
  3. Enter your Barcode and PIN/Password and click “Login”
  4. Browse or search for an item to checkout
  5. Click on “Borrow this book” to checkout or “Reserve this book” to place on hold
  6. Click “Read Online” to read in the browser or find it in the Palace app on your mobile device to read in app
  7. To see all items checked out and on hold in the web catalog, go to the “My Books” tab
